Mark Kolterman is running for the Nebraska Legislature in District #24, comprised of Seward, York, and Polk Counties.  Senator Greg Adams currently serves as the State Senator for District #24, but cannot seek re-election due to term limits.

Mark is an insurance professional, president of Kolterman Agency, Inc., which he owns with his wife Suzanne, and has spent the past 37 years helping businesses and individuals with their insurance needs.  He has been recognized as a leader in his industry, actively involved in the Nebraska Association of Health Underwriters and the Nebraska Association of Insurance and Financial Advisers. He is also a Life and Qualifying member of the MillionDollar Round Table, based on professional sales and service.  Recently, he has represented NAIFA Nebraska, NAHU, IIAN, and the PIA as one of four spokesmen for the industry related to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, advocating for rules and regulations that would allow private industry to remain viable under the adopted law.

A lifelong resident of Seward County, Mark has a long history of civic involvement, promoting his community through his involvement in Seward County Economic Development Board, Seward Area Development Corporation, the Seward Area Chamber of Commerce, St. John Lutheran Church, Concordia University, Memorial Health Care Systems, and other civic groups and activities.  At the state level Mark serves on the Southeast Nebraska Development District Board as an At-Large member and is a diplomat through the Nebraska Department of Economic Development.

Mark and Suzanne (Geis), his wife of 42 years, have two grown daughters and three grandchildren.
